Serving a diverse community of over 600 students from Kindergarten – 8th grade, our teachers collaborate with each other to educate our students to a high standard, in both academics and character. Position Summary:

The Dean of Student Life provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for student wellness, school culture, restorative practices, student behavior systems, extracurricular programming, and proactive student support initiatives. Primary leadership contact for student support, behavioral accountability, and family partnership regarding student life matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Student Behavior & Discipline Serves as the lead administrator for all communication regarding student behavior. Oversees student attendance systems, restorative discipline practices, behavioral intervention processes, and proactive student support strategies designed to foster a safe structured, and Christ-centered school environment.

Parent & Family Communication Serves as the primary liaison between the school and families on all matters related to student behavior, conduct, and discipline. Communicates proactively and professionally with parents to address concerns and promote a collaborative approach to student support.

Scheduling & Campus Supervision Manages recess, lunch, and traffic schedules to ensure safe and orderly campus operations. Oversees after-school programs and supervises associated staff, including CASA, Homework Club, and Detention.

Student Life & Extracurricular Programs Provides leadership and support for Student Council and facilitates Junior High dances and related student events. Oversees athletics and extracurricular activities, serving as a key liaison to the Athletic Board. Supports the 8th Grade High School Liaison process, helping students navigate the transition to high school.

Health, Wellness & Technology Oversight Serves as direct supervisor for the Director of Health, Wellness & Counseling and the Director of Technology. Oversees the school's technology program in collaboration with the Director of Technology, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

Communication & Leadership Prepares and contributes to faculty meeting agendas, including Beginning of Year faculty meetings, and supports Back to School Night preparation and presentation. Participates in Jr High bi-weekly meetings and collaborates regularly with the DCS for counsel and alignment on school-wide decisions. Collaborates closely with peer Deans regarding school-wide initiatives, student support strategy, institutional communication, and strategic decision-making while maintaining primary ownership and accountability within assigned student life and school culture leadership areas.

Faculty Supervision & HR Administration Participates in interviewing and hiring decisions and oversees onboarding of new staff. Manages time-off requests, sick call coverage, and scheduling for exempt employees. Submits HR weekly updates as part of the Dean team.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Counseling, or a related field preferred
  • Valid teaching or administrative credential preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a school setting, with demonstrated experience in student behavior management and discipline
  • Strong conflict resolution, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience overseeing extracurricular programs, athletics, or student activities
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative Dean team, working alongside two peer Deans to ensure cohesive leadership, shared decision-making, and consistent support for students, faculty, and families across the school
Spiritual/Faith Development
  • Nurtures the faith development of faculty and staff through opportunities for spiritual growth
  • Ensures quality Catholic religious instruction of students
  • Provides opportunities for the school community to celebrate our faith;
  • Supports and fosters active Christian service
  • Communicates to parents opportunities for adult faith formation sponsored by the parish and the Archdiocese
  • Ensures that regular gatherings of parents begin with prayer or reflection and include an opportunity for on-going faith formation
  • Facilitates the moral development and maturity of children, youth, and adults
Building Christian Community
  • Fosters communication among the pastor, parish, and school community
  • Respects and facilitates the role of parents as primary educators
  • Collaborates with staff to give witness to the Catholic identity of the school with religious signs, symbols and displays
  • Assists parents in understanding that the school is an essential ministry of the parish
Salary & Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time; Salaried/Exempt
Salary Range:
$105-$130,000 depending on experience, credentials, and prior leadership background.
